Without the shedding of blood, Jesus’ death would not have saved us. Why? The Bible says,
Without shedding of blood is no remission.

Let’s delve into the blood of Jesus and why we must have it for our salvation.
Doctrine of the blood of Jesus
The blood of Jesus is essential for salvation because it represents the life that was sacrificed for the forgiveness of sins. In the Old Testament, people offered animal sacrifices as a means of atonement for sin, symbolizing the life given for forgiveness through the shedding of blood.
Jesus came as the perfect sacrifice which involved His death, the shedding of blood, and the cross.
The life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Leviticus 17:11
The blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”
Exodus 12:13
Christians believe that Jesus’ blood, shed on the cross fulfilled this sacrificial system, offering a once-and-for-all atonement for the sins of humanity (Hebrews 9:11-14).
But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us].
For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

We come to God through Jesus’ blood
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:13
Jesus’ death and His blood
Jesus’ death alone cannot save us. Let’s say Jesus died in some manner other than the cross, and He lost no blood. That death would not save us.
Suppose Jesus bled, but did not die. In that case, His blood would not save us.
Salvation requires both the death of Jesus and the shedding of His blood. Don’t forget the cross.
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
John 12:32
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Galations 3:13
Taking shortcuts
People often take shortcuts by mentioning Jesus’ death, His blood, or His cross as an abbreviated way to explain His sacrifice. We should remember that we need all three for the atonement of our sins.
