Has anything ever left you feeling shaken up? Car wrecks, physical altercations, falls, or industrial accidents can leave you physically shaken up.
Other situations can leave you feeling shaken up mentally.
What about if you’ve had family problems? Maybe your marriage has challenges. Maybe your children aren’t going the right way. Perhaps your parents aren’t treating you right. You might even have trouble at work or school.

I think that, right now, many people are mentally shaken up, just from their personal life situation.
Add to those issues the ongoing upheaval in our nation.
Law enforcement agencies have compromised our peace and safety.
One political party riots with impunity as the police kneel and prostrate themselves. Meanwhile, “law enforcement” agencies and their agents watch idly as those of us with a “pro America” ideology receive unprovoked physical abuse.
Democrat violence began during the days of the 2016 presidential campaign. It continues to this day. During 2020, it dramatically escalated.
In today’s America, innocent business owners helplessly watch their stores looted and burned. Social activists harass and assault people on the street, in airports, and other public places because of the color of their skin.
Fake news from globalist corporations emboldens our enemies while demonizing “good” Americans. They want to create, for many of us, a sense of hopelessness.
Election fraud, last November, in broad daylight, handed victories to many candidates when an honest election would have handed them defeat.
Media, courts, and politicians, across the country, refused to acknowledge overwhelming evidence of criminal election activity.
Courts rejected case after case without hearing evidence. Several state legislatures held hearings on election fraud, but did nothing to resolve it.
Corrupt people stole another critical election on January 5th. This was in Georgia. Criminals used the same corrupt system as the one used on November third.
No arrests. No accountability. No justice. No recourse.
We’ve witnessed a complete breakdown of the Constitution and the rule of law.
Democrat-controlled media covered-up election fraud.
Democrat-controlled technology companies banned the discussion of election fraud, among other topics.
The United States Senate and House of Representatives swept the matter under the rug.
The vice president defied his constitutional responsibility and rubber-stamped a fraudulent electoral college vote.
Now, we face a complete criminal communist takeover.
Dozens of other countries followed the same pattern when communists overthrew them.
If that’s not bad enough, many of us now face systemic racism.
Government schools are teaching White children to hate their race. They teach children that the United States is a flawed, immoral country that exists for the benefit of Caucasians.
At this moment, every public institution acknowledges and teaches racist propaganda such as “White guilt” and “White privilege.”
They blame White people for everything they consider “wrong.” If you object, they label you as a racist and White supremacist.
Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, blamed the false flag Capital riots on “Whiteness” (https://realamericanpundit.com/2021/01/14/whiteness-to-blame-for-capitol-riots-nancy-pelosi/).
If you dare report a crime, law enforcement will investigate you, not the person who attacked you. In at least one case, a Democrat mob attacked a man. Afterward, the Democrats prosecuted him, labeling his self-defense as a hate crime. He was shaken up. I don’t think he’s the only one.
We live in a new era of political, social, and religious persecution.
Now, Democrats call for a nationwide cleansing of President Trump’s pro-America ideology. They want to expel from office politicians who objected to election fraud.
Democrats will now revoke your access to insurance (https://nypost.com/2021/01/14/curt-schilling-says-aig-canceled-insurance-over-social-media-posts/) and other financial services (https://therealdeal.com/national/2021/01/12/banks-business-partners-cut-trump-org-ties-after-capitol-attacks/) just because of your political and social views.
They silence our voice and limit our ability to communicate. Big tech “unpersoned” President Trump and his supporters (https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2021/01/twitter-unpersons-trump-matthew-vadum/).
They forced the closing of Parler, a “free speech” social media platform. (https://granitegrok.com/blog/2021/01/the-walls-are-closing-in-amazon-shuts-down-parler).
Now Democrats want to prevent people from communicating using secure tools such as Telegram and Signal.
Establishment politicians and their corporate allies have permanently revoked our “immutable” Constitutional rights. Our country once championed “freedom of speech,” and “freedom of assembly,” but not anymore.
Politicians young and old plan aggressive legislation to discriminate against Whites. In particular, they plan to “unperson” conservative white males because of their skin color and political beliefs.
If that’s not enough,
Religious persecution is intensifying. The communists are coming against true believers. They hate everything and everyone associated with God.
The ease of which communism has overthrown America astonishes us. Many, however, live oblivious to the oppression that communism represents.
We’re persecuted by the actual “Radical Left” that falsely labels normal Americans as the non-existent “Radical Right.”
We now search for a way forward. But how?

Happened before
…to God’s people. I’m not just speaking of the relatively recent horrors of communism.
After the crucifixion, Jesus’ disciples, out of fear, locked themselves inside (John 20:26).
In the days of the early Church, the world continued to oppress believers. They mockingly called them “Christians” for following in the footsteps of the Savior (Acts 11:26).
I’m telling you that, in New Testament times, religious establishments hated the liberating power of the Gospel, much as they do now.

Tyrants feel threatened by the liberty that God’s children enjoy. They laid hands on the apostles and jailed them for their faith (Acts 4:1-3, Acts 5:17-18).
They banned speaking and teaching in Jesus’ name (Acts 4:18).
The magistrates ordered the beating and imprisonment of Paul and Silas (Acts 16:22-23).

Jesus knew their troubled state of mind. Judas left them to betray them. Soon, soldiers would come to arrest their Master, Jesus.
Jesus didn’t promise to take away the present trouble. Instead, He told them to…
Focus on the future.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Perhaps Jesus speaks even more clearly in John Chapter Sixteen:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
We can expect to feel shaken up, in this world. To have peace, we must take control of our hearts and minds.
God is in control.
The present seems dim, but, in Christ, we have a bright future.
Apostle Paul also speaks to us when we feel troubled by out-of-control circumstances.
I want to tell you about his message to…
The Church of Thessalonica.
The believers at Thessalonica lived in a hostile world. Everything and everyone seemed to go against them.
Apostle Paul addresses the people and their condition in his second epistle to the Thessalonians.
Chapter One speaks of…
The troubled.
These are believers.
Apostle Paul’s prayer for the Thessalonians was this:
We pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
2 Thessalonians 1:11
Rather than asking God to free His people from trouble, Apostle Paul prays that
Our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him.
2 Thessalonians 1:12
In good times and bad, we exist to bring glory to God.
In the first chapter of Second Thessalonians, we also learn about…
The Troublemakers.
Scripture doesn’t offer the details of who these people were or what they were doing. However, we do know that the persecution was intense.
They made people suffer individually and collectively because of their belief in God.
I’m sure some believers at Thessalonica were hoping Paul would present an effective strategy. I’m guessing they wanted a plan for dealing with their tormentors.
But Paul didn’t give them such a plan. He didn’t present to them a survival strategy.
Instead, he reminded the church of the terrible fate of evil people.
When Jesus reveals Himself in the Latter Day,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9
Before continuing, I want to remind you of the….
Eternal nature of the soul.
Both the saved and the lost have a future that extends beyond this life.
For believers, the future involves eternal joy in God’s presence.
Those who do not accept the Gospel will suffer eternal punishment in Hell.
Some people have the power to afflict believers in this life. However, in the next life, the tables will turn.
Right now, I’m asking you,
Are you shaken up?
How are you spiritually?
As technology corporations and your government turn on you, they’re bringing with them the fury of millions of evil people. They hate God. They hate Jesus. They hate salvation. They hate the Church. They hate God’s Word.
They hate you.
In light of the hostility and persecution you face, God wants you to know that you may suffer for your faith. We’ve seen it happen around the world, throughout history. It’s now happening here in America.
But the actual message is that this life is only the beginning of our existence.
We have hope because the horrible things the world wants to do to us have an end. The wicked people who afflict us also have an end.
We have eternal hope: They don’t.
I want to pick up in Second Thessalonians Chapter Two, where the apostle says,
We beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-2
We face threats on every side. Our authorities hate us. Our institutions have failed us. We don’t know what will happen to us.
God’s message for us remains the same as it was for the Thessalonians. Jesus is coming. He will make things right. “Don’t be shaken.”
